About Customer Contact Week
Customer Contact Week, formerly known as Call Center Week, is an event where customer experience leaders can learn about emerging technologies and network with industry peers. Started in 1999, CCW recently celebrated 20 years of serving professionals in providing customer experience.
History and Evolution of CCW
When it began in 1999, Call Center Week served as a venue for a little over 80 call center managers to come together and compare notes on the state of the industry. Ideas ranging from best practices, metrics, agent training, new call center technology and customer services essentials were a focus of discussion for call center managers.
Although these concepts are still a part of the spotlight of CCW, the industry has evolved drastically in the 20 years since its inception. With the emergence of multi-channel and omni-channel marketing, the state of the call center began to evolve as well. In 2018, Call Center Week changed the event’s name to better fit the evolving industry to Customer Contact Week.
Now CCW focuses on the tools, methods and services for those in the industry to enhance customer experience and engagement. With this growth, Customer Contact Week now sees an attendance of over 3,000 visitors annually. As a result, they will upgrade their Las Vegas venue to the Caesars Forum in June of 2020.
How Does Caller ID Reputation Factor In?
Caller ID Reputation scans your numbers across most major call blocking apps and carriers to identify flags for your outbound phone numbers.
It is important for businesses to protect their reputation. The first step to maintaining your business’ reputation is by monitoring your caller ID. Your phone number is often your first impression on your prospects and leads, and first impressions are crucial in business!
If your phone number is showing up as “scam likely” or “spam risk”, your first introduction to your leads begins on a bad note. This can negatively affect your answer rates and cause you to burn through your lead lists faster. Identifying flagged phone numbers preemptively can eliminate these obstacles before they become a problem for your business.
Our software provides solutions for business owners and call center managers to monitor and manage their phone numbers in real time. Additionally, we offer level 2 business verification services to register your numbers with the major carriers to enhance your business’ credibility.
What is the Importance of Phone Number Reputation?
In 2020, sweeping industry regulations will take effect. The TRACED Act is being passed through the Senate to mandate the implementation of the SHAKEN/STIR framework. This will require carriers to block robocalls for consumers. In addition, SHAKEN/STIR will help combat call spoofing and robocalls which is the leading complaint to the FCC.
However, phone numbers that are flagged erroneously might get caught up in the SHAKEN/STIR implmentation. This could mean that legitimate phone calls might still get blocked while carriers and apps are working out the details.
